What you'll do
As the Director, System Performance, you will lead the delivery of system performance management, reporting and analytics that support informed decision-making across Queensland's public health system. You will provide expert advice, guidance and strategic support to senior executives, including the Senior Director, while driving the development of value-based insights and performance frameworks that enable improved system outcomes. The role requires navigating complex environments to identify and resolve data quality issues, analysing key performance indicators, establishing risk thresholds and response protocols, and developing influential performance reporting products.
You will build and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including Hospital and Health Service Chairs, Boards and Chief Executives, government agencies and national bodies, ensuring the Department of Health's interests are effectively represented in major health reforms and system performance initiatives. In addition, you will provide strong leadership and direction to a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, learning and innovation, while working collaboratively to develop strategic solutions to complex challenges and deliver compelling, actionable insights that drive system performance.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Extensive management and organisational experience with a proven record of achievement at a senior level in a large, complex and decentralised service delivery organisation
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence the attributes and behaviours of key stakeholders to achieve organisational outcomes
- Knowledge of strategic priorities and national/state health performance requirements
- Ability to analyse,
interrogate and interpret complex data from different sources and translate into effective management information.
