About the Role

We’re hiring motivated and caring Disability Support Workers to join our growing team at Ableconnect.

1. Assisting Clients with Medication (HLTHPS006 certification)

Current opportunities In-home Supports across Northern Suburbs of Melbourne shifts from 3 hours

Key responsibilities

1. Daily living tasks (personal care,



household duties, meal prep)
2. Community access and social activities
3. Transport to appointments or outings
4. Implementing behaviour and support plans
5. Overnight/sleepover support as required
6. Respect for participants’ rights, dignity, values, beliefs, and personal goals
7. Proactive problem-solving and clear escalation when needed
8. Effective teamwork and communication

What We're Looking For: A qualification in Disability Support, Individual Support,

Strong capacity to develop a working relationship and engage with participants about their interests and goals.

A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle with full comprehensive Insurance.

NDIS Worker Screening Check An understanding of the disability sector and active person-centered support

Excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach

Flexible availability & a long-term commitment to Ableconnect The legal right to work in Australia.

Certificate in NDIS Orientation Module

Current First Aid and CPR certificates.

Assisting Clients with Medication (HLTHPS006) certification

COVID 19 Vaccination Certificate

Working With Children Check

Experience working in a Supported Independent Living environment is desirable
