MEGAFIX is a fast-growing WA family-owned supplier of fasteners, fixings and industrial products to the construction, mining and infrastructure market. We are looking for a switched-on Dispatch Officer to own the last step of every order. This is a busy role. Around 25 orders leave our warehouse every day, from single cartons to multi-pallet project shipments, and everyone needs to be checked, packed, booked and gone on time. If it's picked, it ships today — nothing sits on the bench.
Key responsibilities
- Checking picked orders against the sales order so every order leaves right the first time – we hold dispatch accuracy above 98%
- Packing, weighing and labelling orders, from satchels to multi-pallet project freight with packing lists and pallet manifests
- Getting freight quotes, choosing the best carrier and booking couriers and freight so delivery dates are met
- Hitting daily dispatch cut-offs and flagging anything at risk of running late before it becomes a problem
- Keeping dispatch records tight – pick slips scanned, certificates recorded, every shipment posted in our ERP the day it leaves
- Loading trucks and Utes safely and helping with picking when the team needs it
- Keeping the dispatch area clean, organised and secure every day
About you
- Warehouse, dispatch or freight experience
- Current forklift license
- Sharp eye for detail – you catch the wrong item before it gets on the truck
- Comfortable on a computer (ERP, freight portals, labels)
- Calm under pressure, strong work ethic, urgency and ownership
