Kogarah Tavern, part of the reputable Lewis Hotels Group, is seeking an experienced and motivated Duty Manager to join our venue management team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hospitality professional with strong leadership and customer service skills to support the day-to-day operations of a busy pub environment and help deliver a high standard of service to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day venue operations and ensure smooth and productive service across the venue.
- Supervise, support and coordinate front-of-house staff during shifts.
- Lead by example in delivering high standards of customer service and guest experience.
- Manage customer enquiries, feedback and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with staff rostering, shift allocation and daily operational planning.
- Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, RSA, gaming, workplace health and safety, and company procedures.
- Monitor venue presentation, cleanliness and service standards throughout each shift.
- Support cash handling, reconciliations and end-of-shift procedures.
- Assist with staff training, coaching and performance support.
- Work closely with senior management and other departments to achieve operational and business objectives.
About You
- Previous experience in a Duty Manager, Supervisor or similar senior hospitality role.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to manage staff and maintain service standards in a busy hospitality environment.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of RSA, liquor licensing and venue compliance requirements.
- Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
