NewDay Kids Early Learning Centre is a 58-place early learning service nestled amongst nature in Figtree, NSW. We have a passionate, friendly and supportive team committed to providing high-quality education and care in a warm, nurturing and child-safe environment.

About the role
As an educator or Educational Leader at NewDay Kids, you will create meaningful learning experiences and engaging environments that reflect best practice and align with our service philosophy.
Depending on your qualifications, experience and the position you are appointed to, you may work as a Certificate III Educator, Diploma Educator or Educational Leader.
For applicants undertaking the Educational Leader role, you will provide professional leadership and guidance to educators, supporting the development and implementation of high-quality educational programs and practices across the service.
At NewDay Kids, child safety, wellbeing and compliance are our highest priorities. You will be expected to uphold our child-safe practices and contribute to creating an environment where every child feels safe, valued, respected and supported.
You will work collaboratively with educators, teachers, children, families and the wider community to foster a supportive environment that enhances children's wellbeing, confidence, learning and lifelong love of learning.
This is a Monday to Friday, working between 6:15 am and 6:00 pm on a rotating roster. Full time and Part time available.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver rich, engaging and inclusive educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Support and collaborate with educators and teachers through intentional teaching, teamwork and reflective practice.
- Build positive, respectful and responsive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
- Follow NewDay Kids' Policies and Procedures and the ECA Code of Ethics.
- Maintain accurate and meaningful documentation, programming and evaluations.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, healthy and inclusive environment that supports the wellbeing of children, staff and families.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), including relevant legislation, regulations and the National Quality Standard.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service through active participation in our Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Advocate for children, families and the early childhood profession.
- Maintain Mandatory Reporting responsibilities and requirements.
- Contribute positively to the culture, values and professional identity of NewDay Kids.
Educational Leader Responsibilities For applicants appointed to the Educational Leader position, additional responsibilities will include:
- Providing leadership and guidance to educators in relation to curriculum, programming and pedagogical practices.
- Supporting educators to develop and implement high-quality educational programs that reflect the Early Years Learning Framework.
- Mentoring and supporting educators through reflective practice, professional conversations and collaborative planning.
- Promoting consistent and intentional teaching practices across the service.
- Supporting educators to critically reflect on children's learning, development and outcomes.
- Reviewing and providing guidance around programming, documentation and educational practices.
- Identifying opportunities for professional development and supporting educators to strengthen their knowledge and skills.
- Working collaboratively with the Director and leadership team to support the service's educational direction.
- Contributing to the development, implementation and ongoing review of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Supporting the service to continuously improve outcomes for children and families.
- Ensuring educational practices align with the National Quality Standard, EYLF and NewDay Kids' philosophy.
- Encouraging educators to share ideas, reflect on practice and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Supporting a culture of professional learning, collaboration and high-quality practice.
About You
We are looking for passionate early childhood professionals who are committed to providing high-quality learning and care.
We welcome applications from applicants with:
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care
- Bachelor's qualification in Early Childhood Education / Early Childhood Teaching
- Experience or qualifications relevant to an Educational Leader position
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of the National Quality Framework
- Experience in educational leadership, programming,
mentoring or curriculum development will be highly regarded for the Educational Leader position
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
- A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment
- A genuine commitment to creating and maintaining a Child Safe Organisation
- A commitment to inclusive practices and supporting the individual needs of every child
- Current Mandatory Child Safety Training
- A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team
- A passion for creating meaningful learning experiences and supporting children's development and wellbeing
- Strong communication, organisation and leadership skills

As part of our recruitment process, successful applicants will be required to provide a minimum of two professional referees.
