Join an award-winning engineering company based in Wodonga, Victoria on a full-time, permanent basis as an Electrical & Instrumentation Draftperson. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced E&I; Draftperson to join their team and combine practical industrial electrical knowledge with technical drafting and design capability to produce safe, compliant and constructible electrical design solutions.
Your new role
Reporting to the CEO, you will work alongside Engineers, Estimators, Project Managers & Operations personnel to prepare and maintain electrical and instrumentation documentation.
- Prepare industrial electrical and instrumentation designs for project and maintenance works; single line diagrams, schematic drawings, MCC layouts, control panel drawings, cable schedules and PLC and SCADA documentation
- Prepare detailed construction drawings suitable for field installation
- Prepare and maintain as-built documentation
- Support engineering teams with design development activities.
- Participate in design reviews and constructibility reviews.
- Assist with technical assessments and equipment selection
- Support engineers in preparing technical documentation and reports.
- Ensure all designs comply with Australian Standards & Electrical Safety legislation.
What you'll need to succeed
- Certificate IV, Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or trade-qualified electrician background
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical
- Demonstrated experience in industrial electrical drafting and design.
- Ability to interpret electrical standards, drawings and specifications
- Experience with PLC and SCADA systems advantageous
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
