Role Description The Electrical Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Mackay Harbour, QLD, responsible for leading electrical projects from planning through execution and close-out. Day-to-day tasks include developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets; coordinating electrical design and engineering activities; and managing contractors, suppliers, and internal resources to meet technical and safety requirements. The role oversees installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities in mining, infrastructure, and heavy industrial environments,



ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

The Electrical Project

Manager monitors project performance, prepares progress reports, manages risks and variations, and drives continuous improvement in delivery processes. Collaboration with clients, site teams, and workshop staff is essential to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

- Robust technical foundation in electrical installation and electrical engineering, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant standards and regulations.
- Experience in electrical project delivery within mining, infrastructure, or heavy industrial environments.
- Proficiency in electrical design, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and control systems for complex installations.
- Demonstrated capability in budgeting, cost control, and financial oversight for multi-phase electrical projects.
- Relevant trade qualification or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; appropriate licenses or certifications in electrical work are highly regarded.
- Proven project management skills, including stakeholder coordination, scheduling, risk management, and documentation.
- Commitment to safe work practices and familiarity with ISO-aligned quality and safety systems.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams, build strong client relationships, and adapt to changing site conditions.
