We’re looking for a reliable, organised and people-focused Administration Officer to join the Emergency Department team at Noosa Hospital. This is a casual opportunity that offers variety in your working week, with a rotational mix of shifts across days, evenings and occasional overnight starts. You’ll be part of a busy, supportive team where no two shifts are quite the same and your administrative skills help keep the department running smoothly.
With additional hours available as we head into the busy Christmas and holiday period, this is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexibility and the chance to pick up extra work when it suits them.
The role will suit someone who enjoys working as part of a team, can stay organised when things get busy, and is comfortable working across a range of shift times that includes standard business hours with some coverage over nights, weekends and public holiday periods.
About You
You thrive in a busy environment and can remain calm,
organised and focused when things are moving quickly around you. You enjoy variety in your day, are confident juggling competing priorities, and take pride in providing excellent support to patients, visitors and clinical teams.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with a wide range of people across clinical and administrative teams
- A customer-focused approach, with a genuine commitment to delivering a positive experience for patients and visitors
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Sound problem-solving skills and the confidence to think on your feet
- Strong computer literacy and the ability to navigate multiple systems accurately and efficiently
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a close-knit team
- Flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to learn in a agile environment
- Previous experience in healthcare, hospital administration or a customer service environment (desirable)
- Experience using patient administration systems, private practice software or similar systems (desirable)
- An understanding of private health insurance and patient billing processes (desirable)
