Perth Vet Emergency (PVE) Osborne Park

About the Role
As an Emergency Veterinary Nurse, you will be involved in triage, hospital case management, surgery and critical care nursing including severe trauma cases.
You’ll be supported with structured training, a dedicated induction program, case reviews, mentoring, and ongoing internal nurse education.
A dedicated client care team helps with communication, so you can stay focused on patient care.
- Permanent part-time roster of 7 shifts per fortnight (56-60 hours per fortnight),
designed to support wellbeing, recovery time and professional development.
- Hands on triage, pathology, radiography, treatments, surgery, and patient care
- Critical care nursing, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent patient care
- Open hospital model, delivering quality experiences for clients
- Roster designed to support nurse wellbeing, learning & development, mentoring
- Collaborative approach to care between vets and vet nurses
As this is an after-hours emergency hospital, availability for nights, weekends and public holidays is essential. Vet Nurse Life at PVE looks like
- Hands-on emergency procedures and surgical support
- Managing diverse and complex medical and trauma cases
- Working closely with experienced ECC veterinarians
- Regular debriefing and team support after tough shifts
- Input into case management and patient planning

About You
- Minimum of 1-2 years of GP experience, ECC advantageous
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- You bring a growth mindset,
love learning new skills and best-practice methods
- Committed to providing quality care within an open hospital model
- Flexibility to work a rotating 24/7 roster
- Reliable mode of transport (essential for shift work)
