Managing Pain Employment Services

Help someone take their next step towards meaningful work.
What if your next role gave you the opportunity to do more than help someone find a job?
At Managing Pain Employment Services (MPES), we help people living with persistent pain rebuild confidence, reconnect with their strengths and move towards meaningful, sustainable employment.
We’re looking for an Employment Consultant who genuinely enjoys working with people — someone who can build trust, think creatively, have honest conversations and help turn “I don’t think I can” into “let’s see what’s possible.”
If you’re motivated by seeing people make progress, enjoy variety in your day and want your work to have a visible impact, we’d love to hear from you.
Who Are We Managing Pain Employment Services commenced in November 2025 and is part of Inclusive Employment Australia.
We are Inclusive Employment Australia’s only specialist provider focused on chronic and persistent pain, with a service model that brings health and employment support together.
We recognise that getting back into work isn’t always a straight line. The right support can help someone rebuild confidence, regain independence and take meaningful steps towards their future.
MPES is growing across the Gold Coast, Tweed Heads, Logan, South Brisbane and Ipswich, and this is an exciting time to join our team.
You’ll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, develop your career and help shape the way we support our participants as the organisation grows.
Your Impact As an Employment Consultant, you’ll work alongside participants to understand their strengths, identify their employment goals and develop practical pathways towards sustainable work.
This is a people-focused role. You’ll spend your day building relationships, solving problems, connecting with employers and helping people take practical steps forward.
In this role you will:
- Build genuine, trusting relationships with participants
- Help people identify their strengths, interests and realistic employment goals
- Provide practical support with job searching, resumes, interviews and workplace readiness
- Connect with employers,
identify suitable opportunities and create effective job matches
- Support participants as they transition into employment and help address challenges along the way
- Work collaboratively with health professionals, employers and community services
- Manage a caseload and maintain accurate and timely case notes and records
- Work towards employment outcomes while maintaining an individualised approach
- Celebrate the small wins as well as the big ones
Where You’ll Work This position will be primarily based across our:
- Browns Plains office – 3 days per week
- Darra office – 2 days per week
There may also be occasional opportunities to provide support and coverage across our South Brisbane, Logan and Ipswich offices as required.
What You Bring We’re looking for someone who can combine empathy with action.
You might already have experience in employment services, recruitment, vocational rehabilitation, community services or health.
You may also have developed solid transferable skills in another people-focused environment.
What matters to us is how you work with people and your commitment to helping them achieve meaningful employment outcomes.
You’ll bring
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to listen, understand and build rapport with people from diverse backgrounds
- A practical, encouraging and solutions-focused approach
- Good organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Confidence having conversations about goals, progress and employment
- The ability to work towards performance expectations while keeping participant needs at the centre
- Resilience, adaptability and a willingness to learn
- Confidence working independently while contributing to a supportive team
- A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- A National Police Check and relevant screening checks, or willingness to obtain them
If you have strong people skills, relevant transferable experience and the attitude to learn, we want to hear from you.
We’re interested in what you can bring - not just a list of job titles on your resume.
Why Join MPES? Purpose with visible impact
