We’re partnering with an established Australian organisation to appoint an experienced Engineering & Reliability Manager into a broad operational leadership role based in regional Queensland.
This is not simply a maintenance management position. The role has a multi-site remit and brings together engineering, reliability, asset performance, preventative maintenance, capital projects and continuous improvement.
The opportunity will suit an Engineering or Reliability Manager who has spent the last few years working in a complex manufacturing or processing environment and is now looking for broader ownership and greater influence.
You’ll take responsibility for improving equipment reliability and plant performance, strengthening preventative maintenance disciplines and leading the technical response to recurring operational issues.
Importantly, you’ll also have meaningful ownership of the capital program from identifying opportunities and developing business cases through to procurement, installation, commissioning and handover.

You’ll ideally come from a manufacturing, FMCG or complex processing workplace, with strong foundations across reliability, preventative maintenance, root-cause analysis and capital project delivery. Just as importantly, you’ll need to be comfortable working across Operations, Production, Quality and Safety and have the leadership capability to bring structure, accountability and strong stakeholder relationships into an engineering function.
The position is based in regional Queensland and would suit someone already living regionally or considering a move away from one of the major metropolitan markets.
For the right person, this offers considerably more than another BAU maintenance role: multi-site responsibility, genuine capital ownership and the prospect to materially improve how an operation performs.
