Gold Educational Tours is seeking confident, culturally curious individuals and ESL educators to be part of a unique language and cultural immersion program in Perth this January for visiting Japanese high-school students. You will deliver prepared lesson plans designed to build confidence and real-world communication skills for students with varying English proficiency.
Program Dates:
- Week 1: 12-15 January 2027 (4 hours/day)
- Week 2: 18-20 January 2027 (4 hours/day)
What You’ll Do:
Deliver beginner-to-intermediate English lessons using provided materials. Bring energy, warmth, and cultural curiosity to every class. Foster a fun, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Adapt to the pace and needs of each group. Collaborate with a supportive onsite team.

About You:
Currently residing in Perth, W.A.
Confident leading a classroom of young learners and able to adapt lessons when necessary. Experience teaching or working with students, especially in cross-cultural settings. Enthusiastic about fostering intercultural connections. Well-presented and professional.
Preferred but not required:
TESOL/TEFL/CELTA qualification. Previous ESL or volunteer teaching experience. Experience with high-school-aged students.
Essential:
Native or near-native English proficiency. Currently residing in Perth, W.A. Previous teaching or mentoring experience in some capacity.

Sessions are held near the University of Western Australia. Each day consists of a 30-minute briefing followed by 2 lessons to a class of up to 14 students. Instructors are engaged on a casual basis and compensated hourly for teaching and briefing time. A paid training session will be provided prior to program commencement.
