We're seeking a motivated Customer Service Assistant to join a supportive and collaborative team in Hawthorn East. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you'll receive structured training and ongoing support to develop your skills, gain product knowledge, and build a successful career within the business.
Whether you're coming from retail, hospitality, customer service, administration or another customer-facing environment, this role offers the chance to join a well-established organisation where attitude and willingness to learn are valued just as highly as experience.
The Opportunity
As part of the customer service team, you'll play an important role in supporting customers and internal stakeholders. You'll develop a strong understanding of the company's products, processes and customer base while building valuable skills across administration, order processing and customer support.
During your onboarding, you'll participate in a structured training program designed to provide hands-on exposure to the business and its product offering. A genuine interest in automotive, trade, industrial or technical products would be beneficial, but prior industry experience is not required.
A current driver's licence is highly advantageous,
as the training program may involve exposure to different areas of the business to help build your understanding of the products and services offered.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting customers via phone and email
- Processing customer orders and enquiries
- Updating customer information and records
- Supporting the preparation of quotes and documentation
- Liaising with internal teams regarding orders and deliveries
- Assisting with general administration duties
- Resolving customer enquiries in a professional manner
- Providing support to the wider customer service team

Ideally, you'll have:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive and customer-focused attitude
- Good attention to detail and organisation skills
- Confidence using computers and learning new systems
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
- The ability to work effectively within a team
- Previous customer service, retail, hospitality or administration experience (highly regarded but not essential)
- A current driver's licence (advantageous)
