Our client is a large and complex government organisation undertaking significant enterprise technology transformation initiatives to modernise critical corporate systems, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen service delivery capabilities. The organisation is investing heavily in its ERP platform to ensure finance, payroll, workforce management, procurement, and corporate services are supported by a secure, scalable, and future-ready technology landscape.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced ERP Platform Owner to provide end-to-end ownership of a mission-critical Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform supporting core corporate functions across the organisation. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for platform health, technology strategy, service performance, governance, vendor management, security, integration management, upgrades, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of business transformation and technology leadership, partnering closely with executives, business stakeholders, architects, delivery teams, and managed service providers to ensure the platform continues to meet evolving business needs.

The role offers the opportunity to shape the future roadmap for finance, payroll, workforce management, rostering, procurement, and enterprise corporate services capabilities.

Role: ERP Platform Owner/Platform Lead

Location: Sydney Olympic Park, NSW

Contract: 12 Months

Work Rights: Australian Citizens, Australian Permanent Residents, and New Zealand Citizens with a current New Zealand Passport

Key Accountabilities And Outcomes

Provide end-to-end ownership of the enterprise ERP platform.

- Develop and execute platform strategy, roadmap planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Drive platform reliability, availability, security, and performance.

- Build trusted relationships with business stakeholders and executive leaders.

- Lead governance activities to ensure alignment with organisational objectives and technology standards.

- Manage platform lifecycle activities including upgrades, enhancements,



integrations, and transformation initiatives.

- Reduce platform complexity and technical debt through effective platform stewardship.

- Ensure platform changes are delivered safely, efficiently, and with minimal business disruption.

- Own service performance outcomes, operational stability, and risk management activities.

- Lead vendor and managed service provider relationships to ensure service quality and value delivery.

- Drive strategic technology decisions across ERP and enterprise application ecosystems.

- Support the delivery of finance, payroll, workforce management, procurement, and corporate services capabilities.

- Balance operational service excellence with long-term strategic planning.

- Support enterprise transformation programs and organisational change initiatives.

- Provide leadership across technology governance, architecture, and platform decision-making.

- Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.

- Desired Experience and CapabilitiesSignificant experience leading enterprise ERP or large-scale business application platforms.

- Strong expertise in SAP ecosystems, preferably SAP S/4HANA environments.

- Demonstrated experience in ERP Platform Ownership and Technology Service Ownership roles.

- Experience managing enterprise application portfolios within complex organisations.

- Strong experience with enterprise architecture principles and technology governance frameworks.

- Experience managing large-scale vendor, managed service, and technology partner relationships.

- Proven ability to define and deliver platform roadmaps and strategic technology initiatives.

- Experience supporting complex integration environments and interconnected enterprise platforms.

- Strong understanding of ERP solutions supporting finance, payroll, workforce management, procurement,



and corporate services.

- Experience driving technology transformation and continuous improvement programs.

- Strong operational management experience, ensuring platform stability, resilience, and performance.

- Experience working within large government organisations or highly regulated industries would be highly regarded.

Skills RequirementsERP Platform Ownership – Proven ability to lead and govern enterprise-scale ERP platforms across their full lifecycle.

SAP Expertise – Robust knowledge of SAP ERP platforms, particularly SAP S/4HANA environments.

Technology Strategy & Roadmapping – Experience developing and executing technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.

Vendor Management – Ability to effectively manage managed service providers, technology vendors, and strategic partners.

Stakeholder Engagement – Strong communication and relationship management skills across executive, business, and technical stakeholders.

Service Ownership – Accountability for service performance, platform stability, risk management, and governance.

Leadership & Decision Making – Ability to lead complex technology decisions within large and dynamic environments.

Continuous Improvement – Commitment to driving innovation, optimisation, and operational excellence.

Preferred QualificationsTertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.

- SAP S/4HANA certifications or relevant SAP qualifications.

- Experience in Enterprise Architecture, Product Ownership, or Platform Leadership roles.

- Experience working within large-scale government or highly regulated organisations.

- Relevant certifications in IT Service Management, Technology Governance, or Enterprise Architecture.

Additional RequirementsNational Police Check.

- Baseline Security Clearance.

- Ability to obtain and maintain Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance.

- Two professional reference checks.

- 40 hours per week.
