iCOMMUNITY Australia is experiencing substantial growth and as a result we are looking for a reliable, grounded, and energetic Female Mental Health Community Support Workers/Mentors to deliver regular supports for participants with a psychosocial focus.

At iCOMMUNITY Australia we believe that by supporting our workers to thrive, they will deliver the best support to our customers. The team is led by qualified mental health professionals who offer training, support and monthly staff mentoring throughout your employment with us.

We take your work, health and safety seriously, we provide regular face-to-face support and check-in phone calls to make sure you are well supported.

About the role

- Community-based support role
- Shifts are generally 3–4 hours minimum
- Approximately 10-15 hours per week, with potential for more
- Suitable for students studying Social Work & Psychology
- Our clients need reliable and consistent workers. You must be available at least 3-4 days on an ongoing basis.

You will be:
- Supporting participants to access the community, building their independence and capacity
- Assisting with social, recreational, and routine-based activities
- Transporting participants safely
- Building professional rapport and maintaining clear boundaries
- Completing thorough and accurate progress notes and documentation in line with NDIS expectations

MANDATORY Requirements:

- A minimum of Certificate IV in Community Services / Mental Health (or similar) is essential (must have or commence process before applying)
- NDIS Worker Check
- A current First Aid Certificate & CPR
- Own reliable vehicle or access to a vehicle every shift
- NDIS Supporting Effective Communication and Worker Orientation Modules (Online)
- Excellent communication skills




- Full unrestricted driver’s licence
- Able to commit to minimum 3-hour shifts
- Reliable, responsible attitude towards work (available at least 3-4 days each week)
- Access to the internet for rosters and client reporting
- Experience in mental health is essential

Desirable:

- Lived experience of disability or mental health
- Qualifications or studying towards Social Work & Psychology
- Knowledge of and commitment to working in a person-centred recovery-oriented approach
- The ability to remain calm in a crisis and respond appropriately
- Ability to relate to a range of people from different cultures and backgrounds

Please note that all successful applicants will be required to obtain an NDIS WORKER CHECK and provide references before commencing work. This role is not suitable if you:
- do not hold an unrestricted licence
- are not comfortable working in the community
- are not reliable with time, documentation, and accountability

Job Type: Casual Pay: $34.00 – $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
