Our client is seeking an experienced Fire Risk Engineer to join a specialist engineering consultancy delivering innovative risk, safety and resilience solutions across Australia and the Asia Pacific region. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside industry-leading specialists, helping clients manage complex fire risk, dangerous goods and process safety challenges across a diverse range of industries including infrastructure, transport, energy, resources, industrial facilities and the built environment.
You'll play a key role in delivering technically sound, risk-based engineering solutions while contributing to the growth and development of junior engineers within a collaborative and highly regarded team.
The Role As a Fire Risk Engineer, you will:
- Deliver high-quality fire risk, dangerous goods or process safety solutions tailored to client requirements
- Undertake risk assessments, technical reviews and engineering studies
- Apply first-principles analysis and performance-based assessment methodologies
- Provide expert technical advice across a wide range of projects and sectors
- Support and mentor junior engineers through technical guidance and knowledge sharing
- Contribute to the continued growth of capability across fire risk, dangerous goods and process safety disciplines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A recognised Engineering degree
- Experience in Fire Risk Engineering, Dangerous Goods or Process Safety within a consulting environment
- Strong understanding of risk-based engineering principles and methodologies
- Knowledge of relevant Australian legislation, standards and workplace safety requirements
- Experience delivering technical advisory, assessment or compliance services
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Membership of a relevant professional institution
- Chartered status (or progression towards Chartership) will be highly regarded
