About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Logistics Supervisor to support our Port Melbourne on-forwarding and transport logistics operations. This role plays a key part in overseeing daily logistics activities across road, rail, and shipping, while providing leadership and support to the scheduling team.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support scheduling staff in day-to-day operations
- Assist with data entry across systems (CBS, Tollworks, Oracle)
- Monitor driver timesheets in line with fatigue and mass management regulations
- Debrief run sheets and ensure operational accuracy
- Provide support across administration, operations, and container control teams when required
- Ensure compliance with OHS, Chain of Responsibility, and transport regulations
- Promote a solid safety culture through visible leadership and safe work practices
- Deliver high-quality transport services that meet or exceed customer expectations
- Tuesday to Saturday role, with flexibility required to meet operational needs
Desired Skills and Experience
Skills & Experience
- Experience in logistics, transport, or fleet operations
- Strong understanding of safety and compliance requirements
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Confident using logistics and computer-based systems
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
Desirable
- Experience supervising or leading a team
- Knowledge of heavy vehicle compliance and Chain of Responsibility
- Exposure to rail and shipping operations
- Experience working in unionised environments
