The Position

Nous recherchons un(e) enseignant(e) de français passionné(e) pour rejoindre notre équipe dynamique à Scotch College. If you are seeking a positive career move, we have a permanent part-time position of between 0.4 to 0.6 FTE to commence in January 2027. The role will deliver the French curriculum across years 6 to 8.

Our ideal candidate will be an outstanding practitioner with experience in teaching French across years 6-8. They will be able to demonstrate their love of the French language, dedication and commitment to improving student outcomes particularly in the Middle School context. The successful applicant will be joining our large, cohesive and motivated faculty as, within IB schools, Languages are compulsory to the end of Year 10.

The successful candidate will

- have qualifications in Languages and a successful French teaching background
- demonstrate a sound level of WA curriculum knowledge and an ability to impart this knowledge to students effectively
- have relevant knowledge to plan, deliver and assess the teaching and learning curriculum across years 6-8
- be collaborative and flexible and able to work in a team environment
- have experience in effectively managing the pastoral needs of students
- demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills in interactions with colleagues, parents and students




- apply exceptional pedagogical principles in the classroom including the appropriate use of ICT skills, and creative and critical thinking tools
- demonstrate a willingness to contribute to our extensive programme of co-curricular activities
