We're looking for an experienced hospitality professional to join our team as Duty Manager at the Wagga Wagga Country Club, It's a role with a outstanding work/life balance for the hospitality industry.
Established in 1930, the club sits on the banks of Lake Albert, about 7 km from the Wagga CBD. It has a beautiful 18-hole golf course, a clubhouse, a pro shop and other golfing facilities.
We have a strong membership base of more than 1,400 golf members and 1,000 social members, and we open 7 days a week for members and their guests. The club has a friendly, golf-centric community that members and staff both enjoy.
We offer bar, restaurant , great coffee, a gaming room, functions and special events, all with the best outlook in Wagga Wagga, over the picturesque Lake Albert.
About the role
You'll make sure the club's high standards of service are met every day. You'll work alongside and be part of our Management team and report to the Operations Manager. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Opening and closing the venue, including cash handling and security checks
- Supervising bar, restaurant and gaming staff during your shifts
- Making sure RSA and RCG obligations and licensing requirements are met
- Support in managing functions and special events
- Handling member and guest enquiries
- Keeping the venue well-presented and organised
- Helping with stock control and ordering as needed
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role
- Someone who can work across 7 days of the week
- Current RSA and RCG certificates (Advanced RSA is desirable)
- Ability to open and close the venue without supervision
- A person with key attributes including reliability, integrity, can work as part of a team and have excellence in providing first class customer service
- Being trusted to run the day-to-day operations of the Club
- A keen eye for detail and venue presentation
- A collaborative approach and the ability to lead a team on shift
