Cafe in Hawthorn is looking for an experienced full-time barista to join our team with an immediate start available.
We are looking for someone confident working independently on coffee in a busy café and who is also happy to help the team across front of house when required.
About the role
- Full time, approximately 38 hours per week Immediate start available Daytime café hours Weekend availability required Making and serving consistently high-quality coffee Dialling in and adjusting espresso throughout service Latte art and strong milk-texturing skills Managing coffee workflow during busy periods Helping with till, customer service and general FOH when required Opening and closing duties Maintaining cleanliness and coffee equipment Helping train junior/all-rounder staff where required
We’re looking for someone who
- Has at least 2 years of strong commercial café barista experience Can confidently handle a busy coffee service independently Has good latte art and espresso knowledge Is reliable, organised and calm under pressure Has excellent customer service skills Works well as part of a small team Is available for an immediate start
There is also an opportunity to take on more responsibility and progress into a senior/shift-supervisor role for the right person. Pay: In accordance with the Restaurant Industry Award, based on classification and experience.
Location: Hawthorn, Melbourne
Pay: $27.00 – $48.35 per hour
