Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic Gardener to join our team. This is a physical demanding, hands-on role suited to someone who is genuinely accustomed to outdoor, manual work. You will be working in heat, cold, rain and on a schedule. If you enjoy staying active, working with your hands, being out in nature and being rewarded for your hard work, this role will suit you well.

If you are not used to physical work, struggle with long days in your feet, or prefer slower-paced environments, this role will not be a good fit.

This Role: You'll start on our regular maintenance rounds to learn our clients and systems. From there the role broadens into garden clean-ups, landscaping and various work across the company.

Key Responsibilities

- Mowing lawns, whipper snipping/line trimming, and edging
- Pruning, hedge trimming, and general plant care
- Weed control – hand weeding and safe chemical application
- Blowing and removal of green waste and debris
- Basic irrigation and garden maintenance checks
- Maintaining tools and equipment in clean working condition
- Ensuring safe work practices at all times





Essential Criteria

- Previous experience in gardening or landscaping (must be able to edge lawns)
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor conditions (heat and rain)
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Able to work at pace and meet time expectations
- Receptive to feedback and able to implement it
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
- Willingness to work with power tools and garden machinery safely
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Current Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
- Working rights within Australia.

Desirable (but not essential)

- Certificate in Horticulture or relevant field
- White Card
- ChemCert spray licence

Pay and Conditions:
- Casual award rates apply through training period.
- $42 per hour once fully competent and working independently
- Pay progression is negotiable based on efficiency, quality of work, reliability, and ability to manage jobs solo.
