General Manager – Multisite Hospitality Operations
Location: Phillip Island Region, VIC
Job Type: Full-time (In Person)
About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional, highly motivated General Manager to drive and oversee end-to-end operations across a premium multisite portfolio of 3 hospitality venues on Phillip Island.
As General Manager, you will take full operational, strategic, and financial ownership of a diverse regional venue footprint—ranging from quick-paced cafes and full-service restaurants to high-volume function and wedding spaces. Leading a dedicated team of head chefs and venue managers, you will oversee high-level stakeholder relations, P&L; accountability, marketing initiatives, operational compliance, and asset maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive Leadership: Mentor, recruit, and lead multisite teams across cafes, restaurants, and event spaces, fostering a culture of operational excellence and high performance.
- Financial Management: Drive revenue across all service streams, manage P&L; outputs, control labor and COGS, and track KPI inputs to hit growth targets.
- Hospitality & Event Operations: Oversee diverse service models—from high-volume daily cafe trade and restaurant dining to function and wedding execution.
- Stakeholder & Marketing Management: Cultivate strong relationships with key commercial partners and lead targeted marketing strategies to maximize guest engagement.
- Operations & SOP Compliance: Drive standard operating procedures (SOPs), workplace health and safety (WHS), food safety, and overall venue cleanliness across all sites.
- Asset & Property Maintenance: Ensure venue facilities, equipment, and assets are maintained to the highest standard for safe,
seamless daily operations.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven Senior Leadership: Demonstrated experience as a General Manager or Senior Operations Manager overseeing a multisite portfolio (3 sites), including cafes, restaurants, and event/wedding operations.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong expertise in financial management, labor control, operational budget creation, and full P&L; oversight.
- People & Culture Champion: Proven track record in recruitment, staff development, and driving team retention in regional markets.
- Effective Communication: Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with external partners, suppliers, event clients, and executive management.
- Compliance & Safety Focus: Comprehensive knowledge of Food Safety standards, WHS legislation, and operational compliance.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Relevant leadership experience in multisite or high-volume hospitality management (Required).
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Full Australian working rights (sponsorship is not available for this role).
- Availability to work weekends, peak holiday periods, and school holidays.

Pay: $89,249.43 – $110,000.00 per year
