About the role
Start your engineering career working on a scale you won’t find everywhere.
Through our two-year rotational graduate programme, you’ll gain hands-on experience across engineering, asset management and project management, contributing to real projects and working with some of the largest automated machines in NSW.
You’ll work alongside experienced professionals to solve real engineering challenges while building your technical and professional skills through hands-on experience, mentoring and structured development. Based at one of Australia’s leading bulk export facilities in the heart of Newcastle, you’ll gain exposure to complex, large-scale operations and build the skills and experience to set you up for your engineering career.

What We Are Looking For
- An Engineering degree in Electrical, Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Graduating by February 2027 or having graduated within the past two years.
- Curiosity, initiative and willingness to learn.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- An ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with others.
- Alignment with Port Waratah’s values of Caring, Excellence, Integrity and Progress.
