If you’re a graduate engineer who’s curious about how real engineering decisions are made, motivated to create meaningful community impact, and eager to learn from experienced leaders, this is the role that can shape your career.
At the City of Armadale, we’re one of Western Australia’s fastest-growing local governments. As our community grows, so does the challenge of keeping our roads, parks, buildings and assets safe, functional and sustainable.

This is a development-focused graduate role, designed to give you hands-on experience, strong mentoring and exposure to a broad range of program delivery and asset management activities.
Working alongside the Head of Program Delivery and experienced team of Project Managers and Project Engineers, you’ll help shape the way Armadale maintains its civil infrastructure and community assets. You’ll see first-hand how technical expertise, data and creative thinking come together to make a real difference in people’s daily lives.
You’ll be involved in

- Analysing data and preparing reports to support evidence-based decisions
- Providing technical advice and recommendations under the guidance of senior staff
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across program delivery
- Collaborating with internal teams, contractors, and community stakeholders
- Learning how local government balances safety, sustainability, governance and community expectations
This role is designed to grow with you, offering structured mentoring,
hands-on experience and increasing responsibility as your capability develops over time.
