The Opportunity

We are seeking a Graduate Planner Estimator to join our Operations team. Reporting to the Workshop Coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning and estimating jobs within our business unit, providing essential internal planning support to enhance our service to clients. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop your career in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

What you'll be responsible for

- Ensuring the timely provision of quality, consistent and competitive estimates and pricing, comprising all key cost elements
- Analysing specifications, plans and related technical data to determine time, cost and labour requirements for jobs estimates
- Compile comprehensive strip and assessment findings from trade team to facilitate precise job estimates
- Procure required materials according to technical specifications and coordinate external service providers for project delivery
- Actively participating in the handover of work/projects with other Business Units, ensuring all required information is clearly and completely received and relayed to operational teams
- Liaising with clients,



consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers to gather necessary information
- Ensuring effective and continuous management of costs and efficient utilisation of resources to attain expected profit margins
- Providing requested reports and updates as required
- Participating in the development and implementation of strategies to continuously improve efficiency, reduce wastage/costs, eliminate errors, and enhance productivity
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with the entire team, clients, suppliers and other departments
- Pro-actively reporting any complex, concerning or risk-bearing safety, quality, contract, financial or industrial relations issues to the Operations Manager in a timely manner
- Ensuring completion of all processes to the requirements of the Company's management systems covering Safety, Environmental, Quality and HR considerations

What you'll need to be successful

- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Keen and enthusiastic approach to your work
- Commitment to safety, environmental, and quality compliance
