Kuotec is an innovative Perth-based company currently developing a new electric motor-driven product.
We are looking for a motivated Electrical / Electronics Engineering graduate, final-year university student, or suitably experienced individual to assist us with the research, development and testing of our new product.
This is a hands-on role and would suit someone who enjoys taking engineering concepts and turning them into practical, working solutions.
The position can be structured around university commitments and may particularly suit a student or recent graduate looking to gain real-world product development and R&D; experience.
What You’ll Be Working On
You will assist our product development team with:
- Selection, setup, testing and evaluation of DC motors and control systems
- Setting up motors, controllers and associated electronics for prototype testing
- Measuring and recording electrical and mechanical performance
- Troubleshooting motor/controller combinations
- Assisting with prototype development and practical R&D; testing
- Documenting test procedures, results and recommendations
What We’re Looking For Ideally, you will have knowledge or practical experience in some of the following areas:
- Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- DC motors / BLDC motors
- Motor controllers and motor drives
- Setting up and configuring motor controllers
- Basic electronic circuits and component selection
- Electrical testing and measurement
- Prototype development and troubleshooting
Experience with BLDC motor control, ESCs, PWM control, Hall sensors,
motor drivers or embedded control systems would be particularly useful. Who Should Apply?

Hours: Part-time / Casual – flexible and negotiable
Location: Perth, Western Australia
Remuneration: Negotiable depending on experience
