The Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Group Human Resources & Industrial Relations Manager to lead our HR and IR function across a diverse national workforce supporting the mining, energy, construction, renewables, and infrastructure sectors.

Reporting directly to the Group Managing Director, this senior leadership position will provide strategic direction across all human resources and industrial relations activities, ensuring compliance, managing workforce risk, driving organisational capability, and supporting business growth.

This is an outstanding chance for a highly capable HR/IR professional who enjoys operating at both a strategic and operational level and is passionate about delivering practical workforce solutions in a dynamic and project-driven environment.

Key Accountabilities

- Lead the Group's Human Resources and Industrial Relations strategy.
- Provide expert advice to senior leaders on employment and industrial relations matters.
- Oversee enterprise bargaining, consultation processes, and enterprise agreement implementation.




- Manage complex employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances, performance management, redundancies, and organisational change.
- Ensure compliance with workplace legislation, modern awards, enterprise agreements, and employment contracts.
- Drive workforce planning, organisational development, and leadership capability initiatives.
- Lead HR systems optimisation, reporting, and governance.
- Represent the business in workplace relations matters, including engagement with unions, employee representatives, external legal advisers, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop, mentor and coach the HR team.

About You To be successful, you will possess:

- Significant experience in senior Human Resources and Industrial Relations leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment and industrial relations legislation.
- Demonstrated experience with enterprise bargaining and workplace relations strategy.
- Proven capability managing complex employee and industrial relations matters.
- Experience interpreting and applying modern awards and enterprise agreements.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to achieve business outcomes within regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated success supporting project-based workforces and managing client-driven workforce requirements.
- Proven ability to partner with operational leaders and clients to deliver workforce solutions across complex projects, mobilisations, shutdowns,



and maintenance activities.
- Experience balancing commercial, operational, client, and workforce requirements while ensuring compliance with employment and industrial relations obligations.

Education, Qualifications, Certificates and Training

- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employment Relations, Industrial Relations, Law, or a related discipline.
- HR certification (e.g., AHRI, CIPD, SHRM) desirable.
