Handyperson MARGARETS IN TOWN APARTMENTS is looking for a full-time handyperson to join their team now. Duties and responsibilities:

- Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, apartments, suites and the townhouse to identify and repair wear and tear, including loose fixtures, damaged door handles, sticking windows, faulty locks and worn furnishings, so rooms are ready for incoming guests.
- Carry out minor repairs and maintenance to bathroom and kitchen fixtures in the self-contained apartments, such as replacing tap washers, shower heads, toilet seats, cabinet hinges and drawer runners, and resealing around sinks, baths and spa baths to prevent leaks and water damage.
- Maintain the condition of building interiors and exteriors through patching, sanding, sealing and repainting walls, doors, skirting, decking, balconies and timber fixtures across the accommodation complex.
- Inspect and maintain the special access (wheelchair friendly) rooms, apartments and suites, ensuring grab rails, ramps, door closers and walk-in shower fittings remain secure and in secure working order for guests with mobility needs.
- Assist with the upkeep of guest facilities, including basic cleaning and inspection of the pool area and pool fencing, maintenance of the tennis court surface, nets and fencing,



and cleaning and minor repairs of the BBQ facilities and outdoor seating.
- Maintain the grounds and gardens surrounding the property by mowing, trimming hedges, clearing leaf litter and debris, and keeping pathways, car parking areas and building entrances tidy, safe and presentable.
- Replace light globes, batteries and minor fittings in guest rooms, common areas and external lighting along walkways and car parks to maintain guest safety and visibility at night.
- Set up and pack down the conference and meeting room as required, including moving furniture, and carry out minor repairs to tables, chairs and fittings in the conference room and onsite bar area.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from reception and housekeeping staff during guest stays, prioritising urgent issues to minimise disruption to guests and room downtime.
- Report faults requiring licensed tradespeople (e.g. electrical, gas or major plumbing work) to management, and record completed maintenance tasks and materials used in the property's maintenance log.

Skills and experience

- At least 1 year of experience required
- Good time management - Good organizational skills

Position: Full Time (at least 38 hours per week)
