Position Overview

Green Street is looking for a driven, experienced financial journalist to lead exclusive infrastructure news coverage across Australia and the broader Asia-Pacific region, focusing on digital and core infrastructure, as well as power, oil & gas and renewable energy. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on digging up scoops, building teams, and shaping an editorial vision. If you have a startup mentality and a strong APAC network, we want to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities

- Lead a geographically diverse team covering project finance and M&A; across APAC
- Uphold rigorous editorial standards for accuracy, integrity, and balance
- Build a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability
- Partner with colleagues around the world to strengthen our global editorial offering
- Work closely with the Managing Editor and Global Head of News to analyze readership data, sharpen the content mix, and refine audience targeting
- Spot opportunities to deepen coverage and leverage technology to streamline newsroom workflows
- Participate in special reports, rankings, and data-led projects that cement Green Street News as the authority in infrastructure finance
- Represent Green Street News in the market and at industry events

Candidate Profile

- Extensive experience as a business or financial journalist
- Deep knowledge of infrastructure markets across the Asia-Pacific region
- A track record of leading high-performing news teams
- A proven ability to drive exclusive, market-moving reporting — as an individual contributor or team leader

Compensation, Benefits and Work Authorization

In addition to a basic salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements).



Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full time positions. Green Street will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Australia without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay Range

AUD $200,000.00 - AUD $230,000.00 /Yr.
