At the Centre for Non-Violence (CNV), we believe strong governance creates the foundation for safe, high quality and impactful services. We are seeking an experienced and values driven Head of Risk, Quality, Compliance and Technology Governance to lead and strengthen the frameworks, systems and organisational capability that enable excellence across our organisation.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and strategic leader to join CNV in a senior leadership role providing strategic leadership for and shaping organisation wide quality, risk, compliance and technology governance.
Reporting to the Executive Manager, Corporate Services, you will provide organisation wide strategic leadership across quality, risk, assurance, compliance, cyber security, information governance, privacy, business continuity, emergency management and continuous improvement
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence organisational strategy, strengthen governance maturity and enhance organisational accountability and ensure CNV remains compliant, resilient and future focused.
As a key strategic leader within Corporate Services, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and continuously improving the frameworks, systems and controls that support effective governance, informed decision making, regulatory compliance and organisational preparedness.
You will provide strategic leadership for the ongoing maturity of CNV's:
- Quality Governance Framework and Quality Management System (QMS)
- Risk Management Framework
- Compliance Framework
- Assurance and Internal Audit Programs
- Information and Technology Governance Framework
- Cyber Security Governance
- Privacy and Records Governance
- Business Continuity Framework
- Emergency Management Framework
Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Board and Board Committees, you will provide strategic advice, reporting and assurance while supporting leaders across the organisation to build capability, embed accountability and strengthen governance practices. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of quality, organisational learning and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive organisational excellence through the strategic leadership and continuous improvement of CNV's quality, risk, compliance and technology governance frameworks.
- Ensure organisational compliance with legislative, regulatory, funding and accreditation requirements.
- Provide strategic advice, reporting and assurance to the Executive Leadership Team, Board and Committees.
- Lead a culture of quality, accreditation readiness and continued improvement that strengthen organisational performance, accountability and stakeholder confidence.
- Provide strategic oversight of technology governance, cyber security and information governance.
- Lead business continuity, emergency management activities to strengthen organisational preparedness and response capability.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team and contribute to the Corporate Services Leadership Team
Skills, Experience and Qualifications You are a collaborative and influential senior leader who combines strategic thinking with strong governance expertise and the ability to translate complex requirements into practical organisational outcomes.
You will bring
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Quality, Risk, Compliance, Governance, Business or a related discipline.
- Extensive senior leadership experience across multiple governance disciplines including quality, risk, compliance, assurance and organisational governance.
- Demonstrated experience providing strategic advice and reporting to Executive teams, Boards and Board Committees.
- Strong knowledge of legislative, regulatory, contractual, funding and accreditation requirements.
- Experience developing and leading organisational frameworks, systems, controls, audits, reporting and assurance activities.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high performing teams and build organisational capability.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate and drive positive outcomes.
- Experience leading organisational change, continuous improvement and a commitment to ethical, accountable and values driven leadership.
