Your responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with the Safety & Compliance team to coordinate and schedule driver assessments, onboarding, and training activities.
- Supporting the Safety & Compliance Manager in promoting and maintaining a solid safety, compliance, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) culture across the business.
- Assessing the knowledge, competency, and operational capability of both new and existing drivers.
- Providing detailed and constructive assessment feedback to drivers and management teams.
- Assisting in the maintenance of company accreditations and audit readiness, including NHVR, HACCP, AMCAS, customer standards, and other compliance frameworks.
- Facilitating and delivering training programs to new and existing drivers, including refresher training, remedial coaching, and driver upskilling initiatives.
- Conducting practical driver assessments both on-road and at customer sites to ensure compliance with company procedures and customer expectations.
- Developing a strong understanding of Hawk Logistics’ operational and contractual obligations and reinforcing these requirements through training, coaching, and corrective interventions where required.
- Supporting incident investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives relating to driver safety and compliance performance.
- Promoting professional driving standards, fatigue management compliance, safe driving behaviours, and company operational procedures at all times.
Skills & Experience:
- A current Multi Combination (MC) class driver's license or higher.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Required).
- Experience working in a Transport & Logistics business.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word) essential.
- Quick learner with ability to pick up safety and fleet systems.
- High level of organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to solve problems and demonstrate initiative.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to prioritize critical tasks.
- First Aid, and/or Fire Warden training desired.
- Current forklift license desired.
