Based in Jandakot, Perth, the High Reach Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of high reach forklifts within our frozen warehouse facility. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the accurate movement, storage, and dispatch of stock while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and workplace safety. This position involves working within freezer environments with temperatures as low as -22°C.
Key responsibilities
- Loading and unloading trucks
- Receiving and dispatching goods
- Operating high reach forklifts in a secure and efficient manner
- Picking and packing orders within freezer storage areas
- Manual handling and lifting of products up to 20kg
- Maintaining stock levels and inventory accuracy
- Assisting production and warehouse teams by moving pallets and materials
- General warehouse housekeeping duties
- Adhering to all food safety, quality, and workplace health and safety requirements
About you
- A current Forklift Licence (LF)
- A minimum of 1 year's experience operating a high reach forklift
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment,
preferably within food manufacturing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A reliable and flexible approach to work
- A commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards
- The ability to perform physical and repetitive work
- A stable employment history
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- A willingness to undertake training as required
