We are a boutique Hostel located in the heart of St. Kilda, 5 minutes walk away from the beach.
We’re looking for a skilled Hostel Assistant Manager with proven experience in Hostel management, reception, and guest services who is also, when required, flexible and will to help with reception and housekeeping. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who excels in a fast-paced environment, is a pioneer and takes pride in their work. Attention to detail, professionalism and personal hygiene, presentation and customer service are fundamental.
Key Responsibilities:
- Occupancy: your role is to ensure hostel occupancy is high and service to residents is exceptional.
- Reception & Guest Services: Manage check-ins/check-outs, handle guest, enquiries, coordinate bookings, using online property management system and channel manager.
- General Support:
Assist with social media, events, maintain a safe and welcoming setting, and support team operations as required.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience in hostel management role
- Strong knowledge in online property management systems- Beds24
- Knowledge in channel manager (Booking.com, Expedia, HostelWorld)
- Proven ability to work both independently and in a team
- High attention to detail and time management skills

Pay: $32.19 – $40.24 per hour
