We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused HR Truck Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with road and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicles in a protected and professional manner
- Transport goods to and from designated locations
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of loads
- Conduct pre-start and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery records and logbooks
- Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently
- Comply with all road laws, fatigue management, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
- Report any vehicle faults, incidents, or delays promptly
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid HR (Heavy Rigid) driver’s licence
- Clean driving record
- Previous experience in a similar driving role (preferred)
- Good knowledge of local and regional road networks
- Ability to handle physical work, including loading/unloading
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety checks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills
- Forklift licence (advantageous)
- Experience with manual handling equipment
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) or delivery apps
