We're looking for an experienced HSQE Coordinator to support the ongoing development of our systems, processes and culture. You'll work closely with leaders and employees across the business to maintain high standards, identify opportunities for improvement and provide practical support where it's needed most.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, improving systems and helping operational teams achieve better outcomes.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll provide support and advice across all aspects of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental management.
The role combines field engagement, compliance, auditing, investigations, reporting and systems improvement. You'll work with leaders at all levels of the business and play an important role in maintaining and improving how RM Surveys approaches HSQE.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and continually improve RM Surveys' Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Support compliance with ISO-certified management systems and client requirements
- Coordinate and lead internal and external audits
- Monitor changes to legislation, standards and industry requirements
- Provide practical advice on WHS, environmental and quality matters
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits and site visits
- Facilitate risk assessments and maintain organisational risk registers
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions and follow-up activities
- Support leaders in identifying and managing psychosocial and workplace risks
- Prepare HSQE reports, metrics and performance information
- Assist with client prequalification, contractor compliance and project onboarding requirements
- Develop, review and update policies, procedures and supporting documentation
- Support toolbox meetings, safety communications and wellbeing initiatives
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve compliance and strengthen operational performance

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Essential
- Previous experience in a HSQE Coordinator, HSQE Advisor, Safety Advisor or similar role
- Qualifications in Work Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting integrated management systems and ISO certifications
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Ability to interpret legislative requirements and apply them in practical operational environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail and sound organisational skills
- Proficiency using Microsoft 365 and SharePoint
- Current Driver's Licence
- Construction White Card
Desirable
- Experience supporting safe, healthy and respectful workplaces
- Experience within surveying, construction, fabrication, engineering, or mining environments
- Experience working across multiple project or operational sites
- Knowledge of environmental management systems
- Experience using safety management software and reporting platforms
