About the Mint The Royal Australian Mint is a small government agency working within the Commonwealth Government Portfolio of the Treasury. The Mint is a non-corporate Commonwealth Entity and is listed under the Public Governance Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (Cth) (PGPA Act). The Mint offers some of the most unique career opportunities within the public service, including roles such as:
- Coin making – polishing, laser frosting, 3D engraving, Physical Vapour Deposition hard coating, chrome plating, dies inspection and collars manufacture.
- Machinery – operate and maintain minting critical machines.
- Coin Sculpting – design coins, medals, medallions, and token, etc.
- Graphic Design – design coin packaging materials, exhibition graphics, etc.
- Engineering – technical support and manufacturing operations.
About the Branch The Human Resources Branch delivers high quality operational and strategic HR services that support the Royal Australian Mint to achieve its strategic objectives, through its most valuable asset, its People. We ensure that the Mint attracts, develops, and retains a skilled, diverse and engaged workforce. Our services include payroll, recruitment, workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, complaints and resolution and HR policy development and implementation.
We are a small dynamic team where members have the opportunity to work across a broad range of HR functions, contributing wherever needed to support the Mint in achieving its goals. Our team is actively involved in the full employee lifecycle—from attraction and recruitment through to development, engagement, and separation. About the Role
There are multiple positions that the Mint is looking to fill which are Performance and Wellbeing Advisor and Workforce Analyst.
Performance and Wellbeing Advisor The Performance and Wellbeing Advisor is a key member of a small and collaborative HR team,
with a primary focus on the end-to-end management of complex and sensitive employee matters. The role manages a portfolio of cases across the employee lifecycle, including attendance and leave, performance and probation, conduct and workplace behaviour, employee complaints and conflict, employment conditions, early intervention, rehabilitation and return to work.
Workforce Analyst The APS 6 Workforce Analyst is responsible for delivering workforce analytics, workforce planning, establishment management, and strategic workforce insights to support informed decision-making across the organisation.

Qualifications
Performance and Wellbeing Advisor
- Relevant Human Resources qualification.
Workforce Analyst
- Demonstrated experience working in Government Human Resources, Workforce Planning, Recruitment, or a related field.
- Knowledge of APS legislation, policies, and employment conditions is desirable.
Security
This position requires a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtainand maintain a clerarance at this level.
