We are partnering with a well-established, global organisation to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner with strong capability across Employee Relations and business partnering.
Offering a hybrid working model with three days in the office and two days working from home, along with free onsite parking, this is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished HR professional who enjoys being close to the business, partnering with leaders.
You will act as a trusted adviser to the business, providing support across the full employee lifecycle while taking ownership of complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, performance and conduct, EBA interpretation and industrial relations.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked within a blue-collar, operational or service-based environment, ideally with exposure to unionised workforces, modern awards and Enterprise Agreements.
The Role
Working closely with leaders and key stakeholders across the business, you will provide practical, commercially considered advice across a broad range of people matters.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing advice and guidance on employment legislation, modern awards, Enterprise Agreements and HR policies
- Partnering with leaders on employee relations, performance, conduct and disciplinary matters
- Managing complex ER cases from initial advice through to resolution
- Leading workplace investigations and ensuring fair, consistent and well-managed processes
- Providing advice and support on EBA interpretation and industrial relations matters
- Supporting organisational change and workforce-related people initiatives
- Coaching and influencing leaders to strengthen their people management capability
- Building strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organisation
- Using HR data and reporting to identify trends, risks and opportunities
- Ensuring compliance with relevant employment legislation, awards, agreements, regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Providing practical and commercially focused solutions to complex workplace matters
About You We are looking for an experienced People & Culture professional who is confident operating across complex ER and IR matters and enjoys partnering closely with leaders in an operational workplace.
- 5+ years' HR experience, preferably within a blue-collar, operational or service-based environment
- Strong experience across Employee Relations and Industrial Relations
- Experience working with a unionised workforce would be highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience interpreting modern awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Proven capability managing workplace investigations, performance, conduct and disciplinary matters
- A sound understanding of employment legislation, compliance obligations and regulatory requirements
- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach to complex people matters
- The confidence to coach and advise leaders through challenging workplace situations
- Excellent judgement and discretion when managing sensitive employee matters
