The Role
Operating across a range of contract models including D&C;, Construct Only, Managing Contractor, PPP, and Alliance, this position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference through direct involvement in significant infrastructure initiatives.
Through this role, you will:
- Work across the lifecycle of our clients' projects
- Draft and negotiate a range of documentation for the procurement, development, and delivery of projects
- Interact closely with a variety of key stakeholders
- Advise on contract management phase issues such as claims, performance and disputes
- Be responsible for identifying and managing legal risks, providing innovative, practical and compliant solutions and strategies.
The Candidate The successful candidate will be a talented construction lawyer with 2-4 years’ PQE . You will have relevant construction experience at a well regarded law firm or similar in-house role. In addition, you will have:
- Experience in drafting and negotiating key construction and commercial contracts
- An ability to understand the bigger picture and to collaborate effectively with various functions of the business
- Quality training (either in private practice or in-house)
- An ability to provide pragmatic and timely legal advice within a complex commercial and operational setting
- Clear and persuasive written and spoken communication skills
- Negotiation and drafting skills
