Sales Engineer – Hose reels, manual, spring and motorized

Location - Sydney based with regular interstate travel

Salary - $90,000 per year (plus superannuation, plus car)

The Role

As our Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and generation of sales through our existing distribution network plus the development of recent business, locally and interstate.

You would

· Proactively create new business through relationship building, networking, training, technical support, site visits and referrals.

· Work with our existing distributor network to enhance their understanding of our product range.

· Identify sales opportunities within market and our customer base.

· Take ownership of projects to ensure we meet the customers’ expectations.

· Work closely with our inhouse custom design & development team on purpose built custom product.

· Hands-on work to fully understand the design features and quality aspects of our product so you understand how our products are built, preform and installed.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

· Generate new business and develop existing business.

· Respond to and qualify inbound enquiries.





· Build and maintain strong relationships with our distributors in the automotive, industrial, mining, manufacturing, lubrication, refueling, Emergency Services and related sectors.

· Interface support between our customers and our internal services.

Quoting & Presentation

· Prepare detailed quotes, presentations and proposals.

· Collect and collate technical information based around our customer’s needs.

· Monitor and report on the market, sales opportunities and competitor’s activities.

Hands-on customer calling and site visits

· Prepare and make sales calls with our existing distributors and potential distributors locally and interstate.

· Identify potential applications for sales within industry, organize site visits, product presentations and training.

· Liaison with our design & technical team.

About You

· Currently in a sales role within the industry sectors we service.

· Some relevant technical experience in, engineering, automotive, industrial, mining, manufacturing, lubrication, refueling, Emergency Services or related sectors.

· Ability to interpret a customer’s application and turn that into a sale.

· Strong communication and relationship-building skills, comfortable talking to both end-users and distributors.

· Commercially aware, able to maintain margins, bring value and develop long-term relationships.

· A proactive self-motivated outlook.
