Business Review Group is seeking an experienced ICT Project Manager to join our team and support a major Defence capability program in Canberra.

This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced Defence project professional who can operate across ICT delivery, governance, technical integration, procurement, risk and stakeholder management within a complex capability environment.

The chance

You will support the planning, governance and delivery of ICT-enabled Defence capability, working closely with project leadership, technical specialists and key stakeholders across Defence.

The role will have responsibility across project documentation, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, procurement and stakeholder coordination, while also supporting ICT integration, cyber security and security accreditation activities.

Key responsibilities

You will

- Develop and maintain project plans, status reports and governance artefacts
- Track delivery against schedules, milestones and budgets
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and corrective actions
- Prepare project reporting and presentations for senior stakeholders
- Facilitate project meetings and manage follow-up actions
- Support project change across scope, schedule and budget
- Coordinate ICT dependencies and technical workstreams
- Support cyber security, information assurance and security accreditation activities
- Engage technical SMEs when reviewing project and contractual deliverables
- Support procurement activities and vendor contract management




- Monitor contractual obligations and Defence procurement requirements
- Support Defence financial management and project governance
- Identify opportunities to improve project processes, efficiency and delivery outcomes

About you

- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or a related discipline
- Strong current project management experience
- Experience delivering ICT-enabled Defence projects
- Knowledge and practical experience of the One Defence Capability System (ODCS)
- Knowledge and experience with ASDEFCON
- Experience using CASG project reporting tools
- Solid understanding of Defence financial, procurement and risk management
- Defence procurement and financial management experience
- Experience managing schedules, dependencies and deliverables across multiple stakeholders and technical workstreams
- Experience working within integrated or multidisciplinary Defence project teams
- Understanding of Defence ICT governance, system integration and capability delivery
- Knowledge of cyber security governance requirements within Defence ICT projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership and communication skills
