About the role

We are seeking an experienced Service Design Specialist to lead the design, governance, transition, and optimisation of technology services within an Operations Technology environment.

Working closely with technology, service delivery, and operational stakeholders, you will establish service management frameworks, define service models, manage service catalogues, and support the successful transition of services into operational support.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who combines strong ITIL service management expertise with commercial awareness and stakeholder engagement skills.

Key responsibilities include

- Designing technology services aligned with ITIL best practices
- Developing service models, support frameworks, and operational processes
- Managing and enhancing service catalogue offerings and documentation
- Supporting service governance, planning, and lifecycle management activities
- Conducting service scoping, costing, and commercial assessments
- Managing service transition and operational readiness activities
- Supporting onboarding of new services into production environments
- Driving service lifecycle management and continual service improvement initiatives
- Collaborating with operational, technology, and business stakeholders
- Maintaining service documentation,



governance artefacts, and process controls

The Successful Candidate To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Proven experience in Service Design, Service Transition, and Service Management disciplines
- Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and service lifecycle management
- Experience developing and maintaining service catalogues and service offerings
- Demonstrated capability establishing and supporting service governance frameworks
- Solid experience in service costing, scoping, and commercial analysis
- Experience supporting operational technology or enterprise technology environments
- Ability to define service models, support structures, and operational processes
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Experience working across cross-functional delivery, support, and business teams
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation capabilities

Highly regarded:
- ITIL certification
- Experience within transport, critical infrastructure, utilities, or large enterprise environments
- Exposure to operational technology environments
- Experience supporting major transformation or service improvement programs
