About the Role LA Insurance is seeking an experienced Insurance Account Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term parental leave contract with potential for permanency based on performance and business needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to step into an established portfolio and work with a high-performing team that is passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for clients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
- Attracting and converting new business opportunities
- Negotiating policy renewals and insurance placements
- Providing specialist advice on insurable risks and insurance solutions
- Building strong relationships with insurers and underwriting partners
- Supporting clients through claims and advocating for the best possible outcomes
- Identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and maximise portfolio profitability
- Staying up to date with industry trends and market developments
About You
You are an experienced insurance professional who enjoys building strong relationships, delivering outstanding client service, and achieving commercial outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in insurance broking, underwriting, or account management
- Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification
- Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) highly regarded
- Strong technical knowledge of general insurance products
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- A proactive approach to business development and client retention
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
