Two part-time positions available | Clinical Services Team | South Brisbane | SCHADS Award Level 4
About the role
Be the voice someone hears when they need support most.
We have two part-time opportunities within our Clinical Services Team for Intake & Case Management Officers.
You’ll be one of the first points of contact for people accessing Women’s Health and Equality Queensland (WHEQ) services - providing intake, assessment, brief support, case management and referrals in a safe, supportive and trauma-informed environment.
The two positions have different set rosters:
Position 1 – 17.25 hours per week
- Monday: 8:00am – 1:15pm
- Tuesday: 8:00am – 1:15pm
- Wednesday: 1:00pm – 8:15pm
Position 2 – 17.5 hours per week
- Wednesday: 8:00am – 1:15pm
- Thursday: 8:00am – 1:15pm
- Friday: 12:45pm – 8:15pm

In this role, you will:
- Manage intake, risk assessment and safety planning
- Provide brief, solution-focused counselling
- Coordinate referrals and ongoing support
- Support group programs and service delivery
- Maintain client records, bookings and follow-ups

About you
You’re calm, empathetic and able to meet people where they’re at - including during high-pressure or emotional moments.
You’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Counselling or Social Work
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to obtain
- Experience (placement or paid) supporting vulnerable clients
- Confidence in intake, risk assessment and making referrals
- Strong communication skills - especially over the phone
- Organised, adaptable and comfortable balancing client work with admin
- A genuine commitment to trauma-informed, inclusive and feminist practice
