The Opportunity
We're looking for an Inventory Controller to keep our stock accurate, traceable and well controlled across our warehouse and production sites. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you'll split your time between our Palmyra manufacturing facility and office and our Cutler warehouse in Jandakot. You'll run cycle counts, chase down variances, keep batches and BIN locations in order, and make sure every stock movement is recorded correctly.
This is a hands-on role, with plenty of time on the forklift, for an experienced warehouse operator or inventory operator who's confident on systems and ready to take the next step into inventory control. You don't need to have held the title before. We'll back you to build your skills in analysis, reporting and control.
The role starts casual at a minimum of 35 hours per week, with a pathway to full-time.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely, following GDA safety policies and site requirements
- Conduct cycle counts, spot checks and stock audits, and support month-end and annual stocktakes
- Reconcile physical stock against NetSuite and WMS records, investigating variances and completing approved adjustments
- Process stock transfers,
location movements and other inventory transactions accurately using RF scanners and our systems
- Inspect and receipt inbound stock against Purchase Orders and Transfer Orders, allocating BIN locations before putaway
- Maintain batch integrity and support FIFO/FEFO practices and stock traceability
- Identify ageing, damaged or obsolete stock and help minimise write-offs
- Investigate stock discrepancies and picking or shipping errors, find the root cause and put practical fixes in place
- Work with Production, Procurement, Logistics, Planning, Sales and Finance to improve stock visibility
- Provide basic reporting on count completion, variances and adjustment trends
Skills and Experiences
What Sets You Apart
- At least 2 years'
experience in warehouse operations, stores, inventory, logistics or a related supply chain environment
- Hands-on experience with stock counts, receipting, transfers, putaway, picking or inventory adjustments
- Current High Risk Work/Forklift Licence (Required)
- Current driver's licence and reliable transport, with the ability to travel between sites when needed
- Comfortable using inventory systems and scanners, with a sharp eye for detail
- A practical problem solver who likes getting to the bottom of things
- Experience in FMCG, beverage, food manufacturing or distribution is a bonus
- Formal warehousing or supply chain qualifications are welcome but not essential
The Positive Stuff
- Gage Bucks: Beer money allocated throughout the year
- Staff discounts on merch, food and drink across our hospitality venues
- Invites to events through our industry, sporting and entertainment partnerships
- Access to our Employee Assistance Program
