Love solving tech problems and helping people?
We’re looking for an IT Support Officer who enjoys making technology easier for others.
In this role, you’ll be the friendly first point of contact for IT support across the organisation. You’ll help staff troubleshoot everyday tech issues, support key databases, improve digital confidence, and work closely with the IT Manager to keep things running smoothly.
It’s a great role for someone who likes variety, enjoys problem-solving, and gets satisfaction from turning “my computer hates me” into “thanks, that fixed it!”
What you’ll be doing
No two days will look exactly the same, but your role will include:
- Helping staff with day-to-day IT issues through our helpdesk system.
- Asking the right questions, working out what’s going on, and finding practical solutions.
- Fixing common hardware, software, access, email, printer, and system issues.
- Providing friendly, patient, and helpful support to people with different levels of tech confidence.
- Supporting key organisational databases, including updates, troubleshooting, data quality checks, and user access.
- Helping staff get more confident using digital tools, systems, and software.
- Creating or improving simple guides, tips, and processes that make technology easier for everyone.
- Pitching in on IT improvements, system changes, and other tech-related projects.
About you
You don’t need to know everything, but you do need to enjoy learning, helping, and figuring things out.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Have experience in IT support, helpdesk, desktop support, or a similar role.
- Enjoy troubleshooting and solving practical tech problems.
- Can explain technical things in a clear, calm, and friendly way.
- Have good attention to detail,
especially when working with databases, user accounts, and system access.
- Can juggle a few priorities without losing your sense of humour.
- Are approachable, curious, organised, and happy to work as part of a team.
- Care about providing a great service, not just closing tickets.
Bonus points for
These aren’t essential, but would be outstanding:
- Experience in a community, health, not-for-profit, or service delivery organisation.
- Experience with databases, client management systems, Salesforce or business systems,
- An understanding of privacy, cybersecurity, data quality, and safe information handling.
- Experience creating user guides, delivering informal training, or helping others build digital skills.
Why you’ll like working with us
You’ll be joining a purpose-driven organisation where technology plays an important role in helping people do meaningful work.
You’ll get to work with a supportive team, solve interesting problems, help staff feel more confident with technology, and contribute to practical improvements that make everyone’s day a little easier.
As a Not-for-Profit, we offer Salary Packaging (up to $15,900 for living expenses + $2,650 for meals/entertainment). This can increase your take-home pay by thousands of dollars each year compared to a standard corporate role.
How to apply
Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter telling us what interests you about the role and how your skills and experience would make you a great fit.
Applications will be reviewed as they’re received so we encourage you not to delay your application.
