About the Role

For our youngest learners in Prep to Year 2, the Kitchen Garden becomes the classroom. Students explore God's design in nature through plants, food, living things, sustainability and care for creation.

In Years 3 to 6, learning expands into Maker's Place, our dedicated STEM and design learning environment. Here, students investigate authentic issues and opportunities, generate ideas, prototype solutions, test their thinking and learn that sometimes the best discoveries come from things not working the first time.

Across the Primary years, you will have the opportunity to develop a connected program that builds students’ skills and independence over time while responding to their interests, emerging opportunities and meaningful challenges within the College and wider community.

You will work closely with classroom teachers and curriculum leaders to connect specialist learning with classroom programs and create rich learning experiences across Science, Technologies, Digital Technologies, Design and Technologies and other curriculum areas.

Be able to follow individual student plans, support strategies and professional direction.

Encourage students to develop confidence, independence and positive relationships with others.

Demonstrate solid communication skills, confidentiality and professional boundaries.

Be able to establish and maintain secure, purposeful learning environments involving tools, equipment and materials.

Be committed to ongoing training and professional learning.

Hold a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) issued by the Queensland Government.
