AH Fencing is a prominent security fencing company with operations in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, specialising in installing security fencing and gates across various commercial and industrial sites. About the Role

We are seeking a reliable, switched-on Junior Gate Technician/Fencer to join our team on a full-time basis in Brisbane. This is a genuine entry point into automated gate systems — a specialised, in-demand area of the trade that very few people get mentored properly in. You'll be working alongside experienced technicians on the installation, commissioning and servicing of automated gates and access control systems across commercial and industrial sites. We'll train you from the ground up. Experience isn't important — attitude is.

We train from within and we promote from within. Our construction managers started on the tools. Junior to gate technician to leading hand to running your own jobs — and we'll back you the whole way.

This role is based out of our Brisbane office and will involve working on a variety of commercial and industrial sites across South East Queensland.





Key Responsibilities

- Assisting with the preparation and installation of automated gate systems including sliding gate motors, swing gate operators, boom gates and bollards
- Assisting with programming and commissioning of control boards, remotes, keypads and access control equipment
- Carrying out safety testing and adjustment so gates operate correctly and safely before handover
- Assisting with general fencing installation as required
- Maintaining tools, equipment and vehicle stock in good working condition
- Cleaning up work sites and removing waste materials
- Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and site protocols
- Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors and clients

What We're Looking For

- A genuine interest in how mechanical and electronic systems work, and real appetite to learn a trade
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
- Physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in all conditions
- Good attention to detail and a passion for perfection
- Ability to work in a team and take direction
- A valid driver's licence and reliable transport
- White Card, or the ability to obtain one

Experience in fencing, automation, electrical, mechanical, automotive or construction is a bonus, not a requirement. We'll train the right person.
