SilvaSide Biltong makes authentic South African biltong and droewors from premium Australian beef, air-dried in small batches. We run kiosks in Melbourne shopping centres and are opening our first Brisbane site in November, with more Queensland sites to follow. This is a founder-led business where you'll work directly with the owners.
We're hiring for two roles. Tell us which one you're applying for.
Key responsibilities
Sales Assistant
- Welcome customers, run tastings and talk them through the range
- Handle sales on Square POS and cash
- Keep the kiosk stocked, clean and looking sharp
- Do basic stock counts and pass on customer feedback
- Help at markets and events when they come up
Kiosk Manager (in addition to Sales Assistant duties):
- Lead and roster a small casual team
- Order stock and manage deliveries from Gold Coast production
- Daily sales and stock reporting to the owners
- Open,
close and reconcile cash
- Food safety compliance at the kiosk (training provided)
- Point of contact for centre management
About you
- Valuable with people, can sell without being pushy
- Reliable, available across weekends and Thursday nights
- Organised and happy on your feet all shift
- POS and cash handling experience helpful, not essential for the assistant role
- Manager role: prior retail or hospitality supervisor experience, comfortable owning a site day to day
- A love of biltong is a plus
