Kitchen Hand & Cleaner – Aged Care | Hervey Bay, QLD

We are currently seeking reliable and experienced Kitchen Hands and Cleaners to support an aged care facility in Hervey Bay, QLD for a short-term assignment of approximately 13–16 days.

Kitchen Hand

We are looking for a Kitchen Hand with previous aged care experience to assist with the day-to-day operation of the facility kitchen.

Key responsibilities

- Assist with basic food preparation and meal service
- Prepare and plate meals as required
- Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
- Follow food safety, hygiene and infection control procedures
- Assist the kitchen team with general duties as required

Requirements

- Previous Kitchen Hand experience in an aged care environment is required
- Food Safety knowledge is highly regarded
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work well within a team
- Availability for the full assignment period

Cleaner





We are also seeking a reliable Cleaner to assist with maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic aged care environment.

Key responsibilities

- Cleaning resident rooms and common areas
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Following infection control and workplace health and safety procedures
- Completing general cleaning duties as required

Requirements

- Previous cleaning experience
- Aged care or healthcare cleaning experience is highly regarded
- Solid attention to detail
- Reliable and professional work ethic
- Availability for the required assignment period
