The Role:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior L3 Network Engineer to join our cient, a global operator of mission-critical digital infrastructure supporting next-generation cloud, AI, and high-performance computing environments.
Working within a highly available 24x7 operations environment, you will play a key role in maintaining, optimising and supporting critical network infrastructure that underpins large-scale data centre operations. This role is suited to a hands-on engineer who enjoys complex troubleshooting, operational excellence and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 3 support across enterprise and data centre network environments.
- Lead the diagnosis and resolution of complex network incidents and service disruptions.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent remediation activities.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call roster supporting critical Priority 1 and Priority 2 incidents.
- Manage network lifecycle activities, including upgrades, patching and technology refresh programs.
- Support network security initiatives, vulnerability remediation and compliance activities.
- Maintain operational documentation, technical standards and support runbooks.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, vendors and service providers to deliver reliable infrastructure services.
- Drive continual service improvement, automation and operational efficiency initiatives.
Your Experience:

- Data Centre Networking
- Firewalls and Network Security
- VPN and Remote Connectivity Services
- Wireless Networking
- DNS, DHCP and Network Services
- Network Segmentation and Security Zones
- Network Monitoring and Performance Management
- High Availability and Resilient Network Design
- Incident, Problem and Change Management
Ideal Background
- 10+ years' experience in a Senior Network Engineer or Network Operations role.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise, managed services, cloud, critical infrastructure or data centre environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability.
- Experience working within ITIL-aligned support environments.
- Previous participation in 24x7 support and on-call rotations.
- Experience with infrastructure automation, scripting or Infrastructure-as-Code technologies will be highly regarded.
Essential Requirements
- Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.
- Current NV1 Security Clearance highly desirable.
